DR. NICK COMPAGNONE
Dr. Nick Compagnone has over 45 years of educational experiences as a classroom teacher and administrator at both elementary and secondary levels. He has served in the Dodge City, Wichita, and Salina Dioceses. In the Salina Diocese he also served at the superintendent level.

Dr. Larry Daugherty retired in 2012 from Maranatha Academy after 18 years of service as superintendent. This culminated nearly 40 years of servant leadership in Christian education – in just two schools. Dr. Daugherty brought vision and passion to his educational ministry,

KEITH JOPP
Keith Jopp spent his entire distinguished 43-year professional career thriving as a small town teacher and administrator at St. Paul Lutheran School in Cheney. His students say they were truly blessed by him as a teacher, but as adults he became their trusted mentor and a true friend.

SUZE ANNE NORTON
Suze Anne Norton will long be remembered for greeting all her young students by name and sending them off with a smile. As the Head of the Lower School at Wichita Collegiate School for 25 years, her gift of making a personal connection with the students helped create a love of learning that has fostered continual academic excellence.

EDWARD BIERBAUM
Edward Bierbaum has been a devoted Lutheran educator for 40 years. Even as a young man, he knew he wanted to become a teacher — inspired by a gentleman he admired who was his instructor. Other mentors, however, thought that young Ed might be called to be a pastor. After much prayer and thought, he decided to pursue being a Lutheran educator.

KAREN NORTON
Karen Norton knew she wanted to be a teacher in the sixth grade. That desire never wavered during her thirty-one years in education. After just five years as a classroom teacher and a newly completed master’s degree in education, she was asked by Jean (Mrs. Willard) Garvey if she would consider helping to start a new school in Wichita.

JEAN ROSS
Jean Ross has been in education for 50 years. Among her many accomplishments, in 2000, at an age when most people would have been contemplating retirement, she accepted the challenge of saving a failing high school. That year she became president of Salina’s Thomas More Prep-Marian High School (TMP-MHS).

BUNNY HILL
Bunny Hill has a natural gift for teaching, which has manifested itself during her outstanding 33 years at Wichita Collegiate. Currently the Head of Middle School, Mrs. Hill has also served as Dean of Students, Head of Upper School and acting Head of School. Her teaching awards include the 1991 University of Kansas College of Liberal Arts
